Shelley Hermes will return to the head coaches position with the return of Middle School Volleyball in 2023.  Coach Hermes looks forward to building a program that will teach players the fundamentals of the game of volleyball while having fun, setting and reaching individual and team goals, and enthusiastically encouraging their teammates toward success.  Our goal is to build a program that will develop solid players that will advance to the Varsity level.  She looks forward to learning and growing as a coach from the volleyball leadership at Burnsville High School.

Coach Hermes previously coached volleyball at Nicollet Junior High School from 1997-1998 and at Eagle Ridge Junior High School from 1999-2004.

Her daughter, Carlie, started playing volleyball in 6th grade and now starts as a varsity outside hitter for Annandale High School as a sophomore, who placed 3rd in the state tournament in 2022.  She has taught me that success comes from having a passion for the game, working hard to learn the ins and outs of her position by watching highly skilled players and teams and spreading positive energy on and off the court.
