Wastvedt took his young program from one of the lower ranked seeds into post-season play to one of the toughest programs in the state. Through his time at CV, Wastvedt's team and individual players broke every single-season and career record previously held. In Wastvedt's final season with the Valiants, his team played for the District 3 Championship and qualified for the Region 2 Tournament.
